This product range is proudly produced by Clelands Timber Products, who have over 100 years experience in manufacturing quality timber products from New Zealand Radiata pine. Each piece of the Glu-laminated Pergola range has been carefully handled by multiple production processes in our New Plymouth facility.

Does it matter what colour I paint it?  

Yes it does.  As with many other timber products, they react and move when introduced to heat.  This is further magnified if painted in a dark colour, for the best result over a long period we recommend painting using as light a colour as desirable (white is ideal…).  If whites not completely your cup of tea, you can paint it with a colour with a light reflective value of 45% of higher.   

What maintenance is required?  

A good clean each change of season with soap and water should keep your pergola in top shape, avoid using a water blaster as these can be too powerful and actually remove or damage the paint.   

Repainting is also recommended every 3-4 years, this will be affected by the maintenance and the overall environment that the pergola is in.
