At this stage of our production process, we see one of our largest teams at work operating across two planers, a bandsaw, and a drum sander. Not to be confused with DIY tools you might have in the shed or workshop, these latest technology planers run up to seven spindle heads, each containing eight knives, all turning at up to 6,500 RPM to consistently produce our full range of products in a single pass.
Our sander can finish pieces upto 1,300 wide – often used by local kitchen designers to sand some impressive benchtops.
Our Machineshop is a great example of the career and personal growth opportunities up for grabs for team members wanting to progress. We have a number of the team currently studying apprenticeships – making their way from timber process workers through to Qualified Machinists. With a mix of bookwork via Competenz and learning on the job, Earning while learning is a great way to progress your career while still earning a weekly wage.
